The AirPods Pro 2’s firmware update is now available for all AirPods
Apple has announced the rollout of a firmware update for the 2nd-gen AirPods Professional, but as with preceding updates, we really don’t know what is in it. But it could consist of a resolve for a nagging audio difficulty that has impacted some people.

As of November 8, variation 5B58 is readily available for the new AirPods Pro only, with the previous Professional versions, the AirPods Max, and both of those the 2nd- and 3rd-gen regular AirPods all remaining on 4E71. All Apple reveals in the release notes is that 5B58 includes “Bug fixes and other improvements.” The AirPods Professional 2 also obtained a firmware update (5A377) days ahead of they arrived in merchants.
