Virginia Tech pushes for vaccinated campus with new vaccine dashboard | VTx

In-human being courses. Crowds at Lane Stadium. Campus events. These routines can occur only if the the greater part of Virginia Tech students and staff members are vaccinated for COVID-19.

As the fall semester inches nearer, the university is making progress. But it isn’t there nonetheless.

According to a freshly introduced dashboard on the Virginia Tech website, 25.2 p.c of learners and 27.9 p.c of workers have uploaded their vaccine cards as evidence that they are fully vaccinated for the coronavirus, as of June 28. The dashboard will be updated 2 times weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, through the slide semester.

Virginia Tech designed the dashboard to inform the campus and the larger sized group of the university’s vaccination status. It signifies the Hokie Nation’s path to a new academic year, and a single that it hopes will resemble a pre-pandemic environment.
