What to Consider About Live Webcasting

You only get 1 shot at a live event, make it count!

This article will explore some of the issues about doing a live web cast.  Why you want to go live, bit rates, encoders, audiences, etc.  You will have a better understanding of a live webcast and get some alternatives to hiring an expensive CDN for a 1 time event.

Why go Live?

Why are you choosing to have a live event?  Is it because you want interactivity?  Is it a happening event that people need to see live?  Or is it because your CEO said that he wants his quarterly address to be available to the 40 employees live when he gives it?

Coverage of the 2008 INPEX Invention Show – Day Two

There was a lot of hustle and bustle on the show floor at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center during day two of the Invention and New Product Exposition (INPEX). Along with all the exhibitors and attendees, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” was there filming and companies like Hasbro, Irwin Tools and Tupperware were conducting searches for ideas to add to their product lines. o During the 2007 Season, the bell was ringing after UGA’s defeat over the University of Florida, when the 877 pound bell fell. It has since been returned to the platform.

o The Bulldogs like to get … Read more

Mobile games such as; Candy Crush, Game of War, or Clash of Clans, record daily revenues in the millions, and someone is bound to recognize one if not all of these game names. Ever since the first two people booted up “Pong” on the Atari 2600, gaming has been competitive. When you think about it, playing a game of soccer and playing a video game aren’t all that different. Growing up I played Call of Duty on a fairly competitive level but I had no idea how big the … Read more
